The Mother of the Bride Mary Hocking Mary is the only Hocking to be born outside Victoria; she started life in Newcastle, New South Wales. She is well known for her caring nature and "rough around the edges" personality (the polar opposite of her caring but precise husband Bryan). From a young age, she demonstrated a talent for music. She sang and played the guitar and organ for her church, as well as teaching her foster brother -- the ARIA award-winning artist Archie Roach -- how to play while introducing him to country music. Her love of music obviously rubbed off on both her children, with Tammy having performed with the Victorian Children's Choir and Deborah now pursuing a successful career in music. One of her greatest joys in life is the family cat, Stimpy, whom she annoys the neighbours with by calling him in from outside at 1am (since when does a cat come when you call it?). << Back to Bridal Party
