The
Groom Matthew Rose DOB: February 14, 1977 Matt was born in Lincoln, Nebraska, on a snowy Valentine's Day, the middle child of three. Two of Matt's main passions in life are golf and music. He shares a love of golf with his family and has been playing the game most of his life, sporting a single-digit handicap. He is especially proud of his two holes-in-one. He has been playing drums since the age of eight and was voted best musician of his graduating high school class. Matt dabbles in other instruments and enjoys making amateur recordings of his own personal compositions as a hobby. He hopes to form a band with the Maid of Honour, Deborah Hocking, who happens to be the bride's sister as well as an accomplished songwriter. Matt also has a passion for team sports, though never much of an athlete. He lives and dies by his beloved Nebraska Cornhuskers, Green Bay Packers, St. Louis Cardinals, and Philadelphia Flyers. More recently, he has become a follower of Australian Rules Football (AFL), and adopted the Essendon Football Club as his team of choice. While in Australia,
Matt hopes to obtain an Australian citizenship in addition to his
American citizenship, so that he can live, work and travel freely
between both nations. Matt plans to apprentice under a golf course
design firm, so that he can achieve his goal of becoming a successful
golf course designer. |
