The Father of the Groom Steven Rose Steve came from a military background, the son of a Korean War Air Force veteran. His childhood was filled with constant moving around, that saw him live on Air Force bases in several different states (including Alaska) before finally ending up in Bellevue, Nebraska, where he attended high school. He graduated in 1968 and began attending the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. It was there that, purely by chance, he met his future wife Janet. He has worked in corporate real-estate for over twenty years, first for a national shoe manufacturer/retailer and then for a greeting card/party goods chain, the latter of which he is now part-owner of and vice president of retail development.  Like his sons, Steve is an avid golfer with a longtime musical background (also a drummer, though he rarely plays these days) and an avid outdoors man.
