For any of you who don't understand the couple's references to "The Simpsons", we'll give you the short and long story behind it. The short version: Tammy and Matt, both die-hard fans of The Simpsons, met through the Internet in mid-1996 when Tammy found Matt's fan-script (a script written by a fan) which he published on a website related to the show. She emailed Matt to tell him she enjoyed it, he emailed back to say thank you, and no more emails were exchanged. Coincidentally, they bumped into each other two months later in a Simpsons chat room (one of hundreds on the Internet at that time). They began talking, and the rest is, as they say, history.
